The Central Library of Dhruba Chand Halder College, South 24 Parganas is located on the ground floor of the Library Building, spreading over 338.517 square meters. It was established way back in the year 1965 initially with about 1075 books, mostly donated by the then faculty members. Today the library houses approximately 30,000 books and 28 regular journals and magazines in print format.

The Central Library has a spacious reading room with sitting accommodation for approximately 100 students at a time. The users are provided with conventional reading, lending, referencing services along with such special services as reprographic service, newspaper clipping service, e-book reading service, etc. Library is a member of N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) which is the College Component of e-ShodhSindhu Consortium under the MHRD, Govt. of India. It provides access to 6000+ e-journals, 1, 64,300+ e-books through N-LIST and 6, 00,000 e-books through National Digital Library (NDL) of India.

The Central Library is automated with open source software Koha. Library resources are cataloged digitally and OPAC facilities are available to the users. Library premises are highly secured and surveillance system is equipped with modern CCTV cameras.

Every academic department has separate departmental libraries for the students of respective departments.
